Seasonal Periods:
March-May = Northward migration and early breeding
season

Abundance Categories:
Abundant = seen or heard in large flocks
every trip
Common = seen or heard in suitable habitats every birding
trip, usually as individuals or small groups
Fair. Com. = (Fairly Common) seen or heard reliably in suitable
habitats, but not every trip
Uncommon = seen or heard only a few times each season or at
a few specific locations
Rare = not seen every year during given period
Eruptive = seen in good numbers some yeare, but not seen at
all in others, as in some finch species and Snowy Owls
Vagrant = seen 3 times or less on the North Olympic Peninsula
Unknown = probably present, but habitat not visited enough
during respective season to establish abundance
