Welcome to the Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society (OPAS)

We live in a unique area. Bounded by the Olympic Mountains and Pacific Ocean/Strait of Juan de Fuca, we are blessed with a rich birding environment. The climate ranges from rain forest to semiarid. Plus, the peninsula is on the path for many migratory birds.

OPAS engages this environment with birder activities, classes, and public celebrations, such as our April Birding Festival. Many members are involved with conservation issues.

OPAS is a partner in the Dungeness River Audubon Center, along with the River Center Foundation, Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe, and Audubon Washington. You can contact OPAS via snail mail to P.O. Box 502, Sequim, WA 98382; by phone, 360-681-4076; or by email to the webmaster (see the link at the bottom of every page).
